Who Are We?

In May of 1973, Ron Fidler and Michael Bell formed a partnership under the name Fidler & Bell whose practice involved medical malpractice, general liability, and construction law defense.

Stan Orrock joined the firm in 1984 and became a general partner in 1987. The firm continued to practice in the area of general liability and several technical disciplines, but also broadened the firm's medical malpractice base to include products liability, public entity liability, construction law, toxic torts, and flood and water law.

On June 1, 2000, the firm became a corporation and was renamed Bell, Orrock & Watase, Inc..

The firm has constantly recruited only trial lawyers of great potential; lawyers not afraid to try cases and who are, in the tradition of the firm, DETERMINED TO WIN! The firm's associates benefit from an innovative mentor system, which assigns each associate to a senior member. Thus, leadership legacy of the principals has built a trial litigation firm on the front line of trying the region's major cases. Aggressive trial attorneys who achieve good results in court may be rare. Rarer still is a firm, which matches courtroom performance with client service.
